Hobby Lobby, a redo and Goodwill

I didn't get much accomplished this week. My daughter and gs were here. My daughter left this morning and my grandson will stay until Sunday night when we will meet up and she will take him back home with her. Hubby will be watching him tomorrow as I have my class reunion all day.

I went to Hobby Lobby last week and found these 2 things at a really good price!!

And then while my daughter was here, we went to Goodwill. She can always find clothes and books there. This is what I got.

Not sure if that crock is old or not. There were some marks on the bottom but part of it is worn off. Looks like R R P C and then I can also make out USA. Maybe someone knows something about it.

Here is a pic of a couple of crocks that I got labels on the other day.

And remember this?

It is now this

With my recipe books in it

Sitting in the cabinet. Doesn't the cabinet look so much better with different hardware on it instead of that white stuff??
Photobucket

Well that's it for today. I'm gonna go and turn the sprinkler on for my grandson and watch him play. It's hot out and I love it!! Everyone have a great weekend!!

Just a few things

Good Sunday everyone!! I did manage to get a couple of redo's done during the week.

The box I decided to just leave it the blue, do some sanding and then stained it.

My trip to GW didn't yield much this week.

Got some more little molds and a cool mustard color spoonrest
Photobucket

And then this mirror, it's already a deep red color so I'll leave that, do some sanding and then stain it.
Photobucket

And then this little blue crock and this peg rack. I will for sure redo that rack!

This morning I have managed to get some labels onto a couple of crocks and a button jar. Need to go get groceries here in a bit. That's been my week, nothing much.

Busy weekend and lots of photos of goodies!!

Well it was a busy weekend of shopping...lol!! I also have a question for you all but I will ask that at the end. Hope you don't mind all the pictures!

To start off with, Friday morning, my neighbor and I went to an Estate Dispersal Store. It's open one weekend a month here in town. I had never been there but I was on a mission to find a cabinet of some sort for my kitchen to replace the baker's rack. Asked the neighbor to go since he has a truck...lol. This is what I came back with!

All these little molds for 4.00!
Photobucket

I was told this is a magazine rack..don't know if it's old.

This little footstool

This awesome chippy mirror!
Photobucket

And then...ta da!! LOL!
Photobucket

It even has a peg rack on it!
Photobucket

So then after that, I decided that I needed to make a trip out to the Goodwill, not too much this time.

Photobucket

I'll paint this and use it as a book rack for my recipe books
Photobucket

And then after I got home from there, a huge package was sitting on my porch that was delivered by the UPS truck. All this awesome stuff came from Shari over at homespunandprimitives.com.

I also got this old knife holder in the mail Friday too. I bought this off of ebay.
Photobucket

Ok, so now we are on Saturday. My hubby wanted to go out to that dispersal store so I of course said....let's go honey!! LOL! And this is what I got on that trip. That little jug is pewter and then I'll prim those flags up.
Photobucket

Photobucket

That big silver jug is full of buttons...7.00! And then that coffee jar has a bunch of old square head nails in it...3.00!
Photobucket

And then after that we went to Home Depot to buy some new knobs and hinges for that cabinet....have to get rid of those white knobs! Then we went to the casino for some relaxation time!! Didn't win though...bummer!

I forgot to mention, Friday night we went downtown to a festival that our town has every year to celebrate the founder of our city, so it's an old time festival. Anyway, ended up buying these 2 things.
Photobucket

Ok, so that ends the shopping trips and pictures! Now to my question, we had bought a black pedestal table set for our kitchen and I am debating about primming it up. The design of it does look old, but just not sure to take it any further by doing some sanding on it. What do you guys think?? I probably should have took a picture of it. But it's round with the pedestal stand and black.

Thanks for sticking with me and I hope everyone has a wonderful week!! I was hoping to go to Goodwill tomorrow but just found out my car has to stay in the shop for another day, so it won't be until Wednesday now. I just know I'll miss out on something good...lol!!

Look what hubby made me!

My wonderful hubby made me a sink cover! I love it! It's black of course and I have tried for 2 days now to get a decent picture but with the window there, it isn't working out. Next on the list is a stove cover and toaster oven cover. I also want a microwave oven cover too but I'll wait before I mention that...lol.

I have done something new to my back and the pain is going down into my leg so haven't done much of anything. I did go and get a treatment from my chiropracter. Another one tomorrow.

New items for sale

Look...I have been getting something done anyway...lol!!

This first item is a design by Becky over at tennesseeridgeprimitives.com
It is called "Crow on Pear Make-Do. It's right about 12 inches tall and the pear is attached to a rusty ole bedspring. The pear and crow have been grunged with cinnamon and coffee stain. Stained cheesecloth is around the bottom of the pear along with a stained tag reading "Prim Pear".

The next picture is a design by Simplethymeprimitives.com
This is called "Americana Pineapple Door Greeter". This is about 15 inches high. I also made a smaller version which is about 8 inches high.

Photobucket

I will be listing both of these items on etsy tomorrow.

I also wanted to show a 4 generation picture of my mom, myself, my daughter and grandson. Notice that mom still has some bruising going on from her fall!

Photobucket

Well that's it for today. I hope everyone has a great and safe 4th of July weekend!!
