Happy Wednesday friends!!

I have pictures of my kitchen for you. It's not completely done yet but I have made some progress. Things on the wall....I'm horrible at placing things, I'm not real happy with the way things look. I just don't have much wall space at all. The color of the walls is now a very pale mustard looking color. Depending on whether the light is on, the color changes...lol. I can't even find the name of the color anymore, it's been that long since I have had this paint...ha!!

These are the curtains even though you can barely see them. I got them at Wal-Mart and they are from the Better Homes and Garden collection. They were originally more of a gold, the valance was gold and white checked. I coffee stained them and I think they look much better. The sun was so bright I couldn't get a better picture.


My sister from Alabama was here for about 4 days last week. We had a good time. She is the only sister out of 3 that I can really get along with! Here is a picture of her.



We also had a wedding a couple of weekends ago. My hubby's son got married in a really cool park in Omaha. Here is the wedding party.



Here is some really awesome news!! I found a new flea market here in town and never knew it was there! It has been there for quite a few years....this town isn't that big, I don't know how I missed it. Anyway....a great store. I am seriously thinking of renting a booth there but I really need to get my stock up first. They only charge 10% commission with the booth fee being $25.00 and up depending on size. I thought I could start out with a small one at first. Is that a good price? I'm not very familiar with charges for those type of places. Anyway, here are my goodies that I found.

Hubby and I are leaving Thursday nite for a little mini vacation to South Dakota to the Black Hills and most likely Deadwood. Will be back Monday sometime. Looking forward to some time away!! And then the following weekend is my garage sale. I can't believe how much stuff I have...lol!!

Nothing going on!

Morning friends!! Just wanted to pop on here and let you all know that nothing is going on...lol!! STILL waiting for my kitchen to get done. Still don't have anything on the walls. I did get my border up though and it looks great!! Still waiting also for the backsplash to be done...but it's free labor so I guess I gotta wait until he has time to do it!!

Shocking news!!

Got your attention didn't I?? LOL!! I do have some shocking news though. Remember wayyyyyy back when I posted about painting my kitchen? Well that has happened..lol! I don't care for the color as much as I thought I would, but it's staying! No pictures yet as I don't have anything hung up. I bought some new curtains and coffee stained them and they are now hanging up but now my kitchen is pretty dark so not sure if they are gonna stay. I still want to do the cabinets and get a new floor. I also have a new backsplash that's going to be put up also. Hopefully that will be soon. My neighbor is going to do that as I helped him clean 4 apartments last week so he could get them done so he is going to do the backsplash for free! Love that free labor...ha!! So anyway, painting and helping him has been keeping me busy. I also have to show you what he made up for me in about 10 minutes one day using leftover wood that he used to build a window screen...I love it! Idea taken from The Pickled Pepper Patch.



And then here is a picture of it with all the other things hanging on that side of the wall. I don't really care for the display but that will be changed once I start painting that room...and I'm not even going to say when that will be...ha!!



I haven't been doing any stitching at all. I really need to get busy with that.

I also have new pictures of my 2 sons. My daughter wasn't here so she wasn't included in the pictures.

That is basically all there is to tell you. I haven't been shopping to Goodwill or any thrift stores, but the Estate Store is open next weekend so I'm sure I will be there...lol!

It's been a busy week!

Hello friends!! I have been busy since I last posted so I have some things to share with you.

Got some candle mats stitched up...the designs are both by Dianne Cook of Olde-time-stitchin.com. They of course have been dipped in a coffee stain and are darker than the pictures shows.




Since we finally got some nice weather, I was able to get some staining done and get it hung up outside to dry. Hobby Lobby had some fabric a couple of months ago that looks like a top of a quilt. I bought a yard of it and stained it up...looks great. I'll finish the edges of and then hang it. Also got a bunch of muslin stained up too.


Last Friday, the Estate Dispersal store was open so of course I had to make my rounds. Also went to Goodwill and to a couple of garage sales.




This spindle is big! The other wood thing was labeled as a money drawer...I think I will use it for my jewelry so I can get my jewelry amoire out of here.


I also had my neighbor make me up a hanging candle dryer the other day. Looks great, I just gotta stain it and hang it. The tutorial was on The Pickled Pepper Patch blog. Don't have a picture of it yet.

Have been doing a lot of work outside also since it's been nice. I have to curb my spending as my hubby warned me that if I want to go somewhere for vacation that I better start saving instead of spending so I guess my trips to Goodwill and garage saling will be quite limited. (darn)!!

I did buy a program the other day for the computer, I'm gonna try and start designing some of my own cross stitch designs. We will see how that goes...lol!!

Oh, I also wanted to say thank you to all my new followers and to all of my old ones for the great comments you all have been leaving me! I appreciate it! Great friends!!

I'm so mad!!!

I gotta vent here all, sorry! Went online today to check my bank account and a whole bunch of charges from Illinois are showing!! I'm not from Illinois!! $262.00 worth of charges on my bank card. So...........phone call to bank, luckily I get my money back but what a hassle. Now I gotta wait for a new bank card (I use this constantly), change my pin number (something else to remember), change ebay, etsy and paypal and all the other places that I pay online at!! Someone needs to get their own life!! I'm happy that it wasn't large amounts, probably because they didn't have my pin number but still! Plus I'm upset with my bank too, any charges from out of state are supposed to be flagged but something didn't work right. But they are going to give me my money back so I guess I can't be to upset with them. Ok, I'm done, thanks for letting me vent!

I haven't done any shopping so I have nothing new to show. Haven't done any re-do's so I don't have anything to show you there either...lol! BUT, I have been just a stitching away!

Well now that wasn't very much was it?? You would think that I would have gotten more done since my last post. I could say being outside in all the warm weather is the reason for not getting anything done but that's a lie. It has been so DARN cold here!! Some really weird weather going on this year....seems like all over, not just here. My thought are with those that have had tornadoes and flooding. I need to be grateful that it's just cold here.
