It's been awhile...it's been a bad month!!
Hi everyone! So sorry it has been so long. I have no excuses for not posting in August but as some of you know if you follow me on facebook, I lost my mother on the 9th of September. It's been a very difficult time for me and I am just having so many up and down days. We started cleaning out her things from her boyfriend's house yesterday, so it's really been hard having to go into the house and still be able to smell her scent on so many of her items. So anyway, I and my sister's have been dealing with all this for the last 3 weeks. Thank you to my facebooks friends that have left their thoughts and prayer's to myself and my family.
...And so, this is a picture that I have been meaning to post for quite some time. Carol and Tim made this pewter plate rack for me quite sometime ago, and I have finally just recently got it on the wall. I'm loving it!! Thank you Carol and Tim!!
I also have lots of pinkeeps finally done and I'll be listing these on ebay hopefully later tonight.
These are designed by Jenny Hoffman of Country Rustic Primitives!
This grouping are designs by Shelly Auen of Primnitive Stitchin! (She needs to start designing again!!)
This one is designed by With Thy Needle and Thread!
This one is a design by Nancy Turner of The Victorian Motto Smapler Shoppe!
And these last 2 are designs by Pineberry Lane!
I have also finished a primitive needle punch design that I think I am going to sell also. It is designed by The Old Tattered Flag.
Ok, well that is it for me, need to get back to writing thank-you notes. Hope you all have a great week!!

No laughing allowed...lol!!
I attempted to do some punch needle this past week. Didn't go very well but I'm going to keep on going on it. Haven't done much cross stitching lately and I believe Jenny has some new patterns that I need to get and get stitched up.
Here are picture's of the 2 pieces that I did. They aren't prim and they were kits that I bought at Hobby Lobby. Not sure what to do with them at this point...lol!
I'm working on a more primitive one now.
Here is a couple of pictures of a few of my flowers before we went into a drought.
These hibiscus got so big this year!!
Got a picture of Spaz after I put down some catnip on her toy...lol! She just goes crazy!!
Nothing else has been happening around here. We need rain as I'm sure plenty of you also need it too! My mom's boyfriend lost all his corn that he planted, he has no irrigation. Sad!!
Ok, I have another magazine to give away. This is the 2nd issue of this magazine. If you have won before, you can't win again. First post on my actual blog wins!!
Have a great week everyone!!

So sorry for being so late....
I know I promised a magazine giveaway in my last post so here it is. I have 2 copies left of "Flea Market Style" You can scroll down to one of the other posts and it will show you the cover photo. First and second person that posts a comment on this blog post will win. If you have won before, you can't win again...sorry!
So, on to my back. The nerve test came out normal. So today I went in for an injection. They were talking about doing my neck, but instead opted for the upper back. Now I had 2 of these injections back in 2009 for my lower back, and I absolutely do not recall being in so much pain as I am in now. Hoping the pain goes away during the night. Who wants to be stuck in bed on the 4th of July? Not me!! So that is where I stand now.
Nothing else has been happening around here. Haven't been buying anything, trying to sell off what I have instead. No antique stores, estate sales or even to Goodwill. I must be really sick!! I did get a new tattoo though and I love it. It's of an owl and it's on my left lower leg.
So that's all I got! And thanks for stopping by!!

It's been awhile!!
Hi all! It has been awhile since I posted last. Just way too much going on but I have still been reading your blogs, just not commenting...sorry about that!
Since my last post, alot has been going on with my back. Physical therapy did nothing for me so we did go ahead and do an MRI. I met with the spine doctor last week. Turns out I have 7 herniated discs, cervical and thoracic disc degeneration and thoracic spine stenosis. I knew I had 2 herniated discs but never knew about the other ones. So now, I have to try a different physical therapy, take nerve pills (which have made me sick) and have an EMS (nerve) test done as I have pain also in my left arm. So this is where I'm at with that!
So in the meantime, when not working, I have been working on that big picture of the cross-stitching that I told you all about while back. And I am so glad to say that it is done, except for placing it in a frame for good!! The one in the picture, I broke the glass out of it so now I gotta get a whole new one. I will sell this if I get a good enough offer. It is big...the frame measures 27 1/4 by 33 1/2. I have lightly stained the fabric.
I really don't have anything else to report on. Nothing exciting going on here. Been hot, which I love! Got a couple of extra new magazines that I will be giving away soon so stay tuned for that. Hope you are all doing well!

Results
Hi everyone! My bone scan results came back today and they are normal!! I am very thankful for the result, but now I am back to square one. Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts. They have now scheduled me to start physical therapy on Monday so we will see how that goes. They also wanted to get me into the Pain Clinic but they require an MRI first, I said no as I'm sure the bone scan isn't going to be very cheap so I don't need another bill right so soon.
I have a question...how do I get rid of these old blogs on my listing that haven't been updated in 3 or 4 months? The way I used to do it doesn't work for me anymore.
Also, who wants a free copy of the new magazine "Romantic Prairie Style"? I put it on the shelves today at Walgreens and bought an extra copy for one of my faithful friends! Just be the first to comment on the blog, and sorry...if you have won a magazine before, you can't win again. Sorry Pat...lol!!
Have a great night!!

Catching up!!
Hi friends...sorry it's been awhile since I have posted here on my blog. I think I am finally caught up reading all of your blogs.
Not much going on around here. I did make a visit to the Estate Store a couple of weekends ago and found just a few things. I am finally learning to control my spending at these places, along with getting rid of a lot of stuff here in my house. I just have too much! This is what I got at the Estate Store:
See, not much at all...lol!!
News with me? Well I had a bone scan done today, no results yet, hopefully tomorrow. For about the past 6 months I have had pain in my upper back on the side, about the area where your bra stap is. It won't go away! Some days are worse than others. I went to the doctor about 2 months ago and he was thinking that maybe it had something to do with my lungs, as it also hurts when I take a deep breath or cough. So he did a scan and nothing but the spot on my lung that I have had for the past 7 years shows up. I have a scan at least every year to check to make sure that the spot is growing and so far, it has stayed the same size. I had pnuemonia about 10 years ago and they say that this spot is from that. Let's hope so! So anyway, I got busy and never went back to the doctor so I went yesterday and he ordered this bone scan just to rule out any spurs or whatever. If that comes out ok, then I go to the back doctor. I'm just tired of being in pain, I'm very good at hiding it from other's and hubby, I just don't want to be a whiney baby. But I need to get something done soon!
I haven't been stitching much...well yes I have been. I was asked to make something for a benefit for a child that has cancer and they were having a silent auction so I agreed to do something. Don't know if you remember, but way back, I had mentioned that I was stitching on a really really big piece, well that went to the back burner and I figured that that was a project that I could donate so I started stitching and stitching. Well time was running out and I wasn't even close to being done, once again, so I made a necklace. I'm just kind of playing around in making jewelry, so this is the one that I donated and the other 2 are ones that I made just the other day.
Remember, I'm just dabbling in this...lol!!
So anyway, that is it with me! Hope you all have been having a great week so far and continue to the weekend. With that I will leave you with another giveaway of a new magazine that came out a couple of weeks ago! I love my job and being able to put all these new magazines on the shelves. First comment on the blog wins it!!
Thanks all and have a goodnight!!

Have a great rest of the evening!!

Awesome shopping weekend!!
Hi friends...hope this post finds you well.
This past weekend a friend and I went and did some serious shopping at our local antique stores. One of them was closing so most of the stuff in the booths were 50% off...jackpot!! LOL!
So all the following pictures are of stuff that I bought. There's a few pictures...lol!!
A quilting arm:
I love this set of the hairbrush, mirror and case. The handles have been broke on the brush and mirror and glued back on but I still couldn't resist.
A paint palette that I think I'm going to sell:
I love this print:
And this one:
Yarn winder:
And another one with a pitchfork part:
A masher, bells, rug hook tool and a unique looking shelf thingy:
A Turkish bench and a couple of old photo's:
And now for the 3 big items that I got!!
This was called a Candlestick telephone stand:
Big score on this...I just have to redo it. And it's a good size also and heavy!! $60.00!!
And the final thing that I am absolutely in love with! It's not as old or chippy that I originally wanted but it's just old enough that it is still in sturdy condition. $148.00!
Here it is after I have cleaned it with Murphy's and did some decorating. I'm sure I'll change this out but I like it for now.
Well that's all I have. Still doing my cross stitching for pinkeeps but don't have them put together yet.
Have a great week everyone!!
