I still have a lot of work to do but here are some pictures of one of my kitchen walls with some of my re-do's and then a picture of one of my living room walls. I still haven't painted my kitchen yet so it is still a sunny yellow color.
It's not too bad of a day here weatherwise. Lower 60's, which isn't too bad, but I like it to be way warmer...lol!!

A re-redo...lol
Hospital life is now over...
my mom is on her way home as we speak..LOL! YAY! It has been a long 4 1/2 days but I'm so grateful of the outcome!
I had planned on posting some pics of my backyard after they had been cleaned out, but with mom going into the hospital, I didn't get that done. I haven't planted any flowers yet, it's still just too cold here. Only in the lower 40's right now!!
I took these pictures on the one day of warmth that we had last week! I am so looking forward to getting all my flowers planted

She says she's better.....
but I kind of have to disagree. But it's really hard to argue with your mother!! I still don't think her cough is right. She says she is going home Sunday! She probably would have went home this afternoon when the doctor came in and asked her if she wanted to go home, I spoke up and said that she was not ready. I know her, she will go home and start cleaning or doing whatever and won't rest at all. So I'm hoping I will be there tomorrow when the doctor comes back in.
Once again, thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers!!

Rough night for my mom
She had a rough night, unable to breathe. She was wheezing so much. They ended up doing 3 treatments during the night. I'll be going back up to the hospital shortly. And then to top that off, her boyfriend (they live together) is now sick also. And.....I have 2 sisters that live less then 2 hours away from here, do you think they have been here yet? NOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Again, thanks to all you friends out there!!

A bit better today
My mom's doing a bit better today. Still very weak, still on antibiotics. Still coughing but not producing anything so still a lot of stress on her heart. She is getting breathing treatments but it doesn't seem to be loosening anything up in her chest and lungs. Yesterday it seemed like the treatments were helping with that but not so today.
I do want to thank everyone that responded with prayers and thoughts for my mom and even for me. You all will never know how much that means to us!! Thank you so very much!!!

My mom
My mom has ended up in the hospital with pneumonia and isn't having an easy time. She has heart problems to begin with, she's in her late 70's and I'm a bit worried. She is coughing a lot which can be good since she is cleaning out her lungs but that's a lot of stress on the heart. I was with her all morning and early afternoon. I'll be going back soon. She can use all your prayer's! Thanks so much!

Thanks!
I want to say thanks to everyone that commented, gave suggestions, and gave compliments. I so much appreciat it! I think I have decided to go with a neutral color for my kitchen, but now the problem is what color on that???? I don't want white and not even an antique white. Maybe some kind of tan? I am going to have mustard colored items though for hanging. I think the mustard color on the walls are just going to make the room so dark and I only have 1 small window in there, so I'm thinking I should probably stay a light color.
To Jen...isn't that shelf the coolest?? I only paid 2.99 for mine...lol!!
To Carmen....nice to meet you also and thanks for the compliment!!

Some new stuff, some redo's and a paint question!!
Just wanted to share some things that I have gotten and have redone lately.
This first picture is a set of metal stars that I got in the mail the other day from "Through the Country Door".
The next 2 pictues are of a cutting board that I refinished. As you can tell, there isn't much difference between the 2...lol. That's ok though!

This next set of pictures are of a wood pineapple that I found at GW on one of my trips.

I love how this shelf came out. Looks blue in the picture but it is black.

And finally, I got my pantry cake in the mail yesterday so I was able to finish up my display for it. I got my cake from http://lizzieshomespun.blogspot.com
and she also has a website www.lizzishomespun.com The cake is awesome and it is not made with any food product so it will never go bad!
The plate that the pan and cake are sitting on is a cheeseboard round that I redid.

Ok, now finally on to my paint question. I would like to paint my kitchen in a prim mustard color but I can't find any color that I think is right....has anybody out there in blogland painted a room mustard color or am I totally off the wall with this??? Also, what color of mustard to you all use on your primitive items?? Thanks in advance for all your help!
We had a rainy day here today but the forecast is for sure starting to look good. I have already mowed once...last week and it needs it again. I love to mow!! Anyway, hope you all are having a great weekend!!

Saltbox Lanterns
I Got these lanterns painted up and done today. I did 3 different ones, 2 of the same size, but different colored saltbox houses and then 1 smaller lantern. These are glass globes in these lanterns so they are fragile! This is a design by Stephanie Butler and is out of a Create & Decorate magazine from last year. The globes are painted, then crackled for that aged look and then stained. The lantern has a design of berries, branches and snow around the top and the bottom. These have been sprayed with a gloss sealer.

This and that!
Hi all, it's been a few days since I have posted anything so tonight I have a few things for you all to see!
This first picture is my very first Amish Doll named Sarah!! I was so excited to get this. My mom brought it back for me from her visit to Indiana. I so love my mamma!!
The next 2 pictures are of a re-do that I got finished today. Not sure if I will try and sell this or keep it for myself. I thought it would look neat with some old wood or metal utensils in it! I spray-painted it black, then painted a mustard color on it, then sanded it, then stained it!! I then sealed it with a matte finish. I still think it is kind of too shiny though, I think it came from the stain. Not sure exactly what this is supposed to be, one of my treasures from Goodwill. The before picture is in a prior post.
And then the rest of the pictures are of my swap present that I received from Mindy of http://thewoodshopintn.com/index.php. She did an awesome job!! I love it all!! Thanks Mindy!!
It is slowly starting to feel like Spring around here. My lilac bush is budding, my Lily's are popping their heads up out of the ground, lots of other green stuff coming up...including dandelions....eewww. Gotta pull those right away!!
